We offer many groups at Broadview Psychology as groups enhance the effectiveness of treatment. Groups provide social support, reduce stigma, facilitate skills acquisition, and improve relationship skills.
DBT Skills Groups
The goals of DBT skills groups include improving mindfulness, tolerating distress, regulating emotions, relating to others more effectively, and becoming more balanced.
Weekly skills-building groups for individuals receiving individual therapy
- Adult DBT skills groups – for adults 25 and older
- DBT skills group for young adults between the ages of 18 and 25
- DBT skills groups for older adolescents between the ages of 15 and 18
- DBT skills groups for young adolescents between the ages of 13 and 15
- DBT skills groups for children between the ages of 8 and 12
Advanced DBT Skills Groups
Bi-weekly skills building and support groups for individuals who have completed at least a
- Young adult DBT skills groups – for young adults between the ages of 17 and 24
- Adult advanced skills groups – for adults aged 25 and above
DBT-ACES Groups
Weekly skills building and support groups for individuals who have completed at least a 20-week DBT Skills training group to:
- Create and enhance a sense of community through productive engagement in employment, volunteer networks, education, and other opportunities for meaningful connections.
- Develop skills in support of professional success and interpersonal effectiveness.
- Increase financial independence through employment.
DBT Parent Skills Groups
Weekly or bi-weekly skills training and support groups for parents or family members of children or loved ones who have difficulties with emotional and behavioral regulation.

- DBT skills groups for parents of young adolescents
- DBT skills groups for parents of older adolescents
- DBT skills groups for parents of young adults
- DBT skills groups for parents and family members of adults
Mood and Anxiety Groups
Weekly
- CBT/ACT groups are age-specific and in many cases, disorder-specific for social anxiety, perfectionism, performance, school anxiety, OCD, or depression.
