Beheshta Taheri (she/her) is in
Beheshta has more than a decade of experience working with adults and adolescents of diverse backgrounds, treating depression, anxiety, complex trauma, life transitions interpersonal difficulties, and impulsive behaviours. She has worked in various settings, including hospitals, university counselling centres, private practices, and community-based clinics. She has worked with individuals, couples, and groups, and has provided therapy in other languages, including Dari and Farsi. In this context, she ensures that clients are provided with sensitive, caring, and culturally-relevant therapy.
Beheshta is professionally trained in numerous evidence-based psychotherapy approaches, with specialized training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples (EFT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD (PE) and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). She utilizes a treatment philosophy that is inherently integrative, collaborative, and compassionate.
Beheshta works out of our Toronto and Stouffiville clinics, providing psychological services for clients who are north of Toronto.
Beheshta provides clinical services in English and Darsi/Farsi.
In her spare time, Beheshta works with charitable organizations, and enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
