Sarah Ahmad

Sarah (she/her) is a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) at Broadview Psychology, supervised by Agustina Jorquera (RP).

Sarah completed her masters in clinical psychology from Pakistan and has been working in the field of mental health since 2016. Sarah moved to Canada in 2020 and has worked as a child and youth counsellor. She completed the CRPO-accredited Bridge to Registration and Employment in Mental Health (BREM) program in 2024 and received her license to practice psychotherapy.

Sarah has experience in providing psychotherapy for varying mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, family and relationship issues, negative self-concept and clinical perfectionism. She has worked in a range of treatment settings and has experience working with diverse age groups, working with children, youth, adults, and families from varying cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Sarah has an integrative approach, having been trained in humanistic, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy as well as DBT-PE. She also has a penchant towards contemporary psychodynamic therapy and internal family systems.

Sarah believes that the therapeutic relationship is key to bringing about healing and meaningful change. She works with clients with a sense of warmth and genuineness, using a trauma-informed, nonjudgmental lens.

Sarah provides clinical services in English, Urdu and Hindi.

Outside of work, Sarah enjoys cooking, being in nature spaces, nature photography and spending time with family.
