Sarah Ahmad

Sarah (she/her) is currently enrolled in the CRPO-accredited Bridge to Registration and Employment in Mental Health program (BREM) and is a student therapist at Broadview Psychology, supervised by Dr. Christine Sloss.

Sarah completed her masters in clinical psychology from Pakistan. She has experience in providing psychotherapy for varying mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety, family and relationship issues, negative self-concept and clinical perfectionism. She has worked in a range of treatment settings and has experience working with diverse age groups, working with children, youth, adults, and families from varying cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Sarah has an integrative approach, having been trained in humanistic and cognitive-behavioural therapy, with an inclination to incorporate contemporary psychodynamic therapy and internal family systems. She is well-versed in both English and Urdu, as well as conversational Hindi.

Sarah believes that the therapeutic relationship is key to bringing about healing and meaningful change. She works with clients with a sense of warmth and genuineness, using a trauma-informed, nonjudgmental lens.

Sarah provides clinical services in English, Urdu and Hindi.

Sarah moved to Canada in 2020 and has been working in the field of mental health as a child and youth counsellor. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys cooking, being in nature spaces, nature photography and spending time with family.
