Max Smith

BA Psychology
Clinical & Administrative Assistant

Max (he/him) is a Clinical and Administrative Assistant at Broadview Psychology. He recently graduated with an Honours degree in Psychology from the University of Guelph, where he conducted research examining the relationship between mind wandering, state anxiety, and driving performance. Max is deeply passionate about contributing to the healing process of others, which has inspired him to apply to graduate programs in counselling, social work, and education, where he hopes to further develop his ability to support individuals in overcoming personal challenges.

In addition to his professional work, Max volunteers in an ESL (English as a Second Language) class, helping newcomers to Canada improve their language skills and build confidence in communication. This volunteer experience has strengthened his commitment to serving diverse communities, particularly those navigating the complexities of settling in a new country. It also reflects his belief in the power of education as a tool for empowerment and personal growth.

Outside of his professional and volunteer commitments, Max enjoys staying active at the gym, listening to music, travelling, and spending quality time with friends and family.
