Previous Presentations and Workshops
We have provided extensive training on providing DBT to adolescents, caregivers and families to various agencies including North York General Hospital, Trillium Health Services, CMHA Guelph Wellington, Skylark, Medcan, Queen’s University, Youthdale Treatment Centre, and the Oshawa Institute of Psychotherapy.
We have also provided shorter workshops and presentations within schools, universities and community agencies on the following:
- Providing DBT to adolescents and caregivers.
- Adapting DBT for the treatment of children and young adolescents.
- Working with adolescents who struggle with emotional and behavioural dysregulation.
- Building resiliency in youth.
- Parenting adolescents with anxiety.
- Helping youth reduce self-harm and/or suicidal behaviour.
- Helping children and family members who are affected by familial substance use and/or mental health issues.
- Working with parents who have a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Bipolar Disorder, and/or addictions.
- Helping children with selective mutism in school settings.
- Working with women with a history of sexual abuse.
We are open to developing new workshops if requested.
Clinician Training
We provide training and consultation to clinicians working in other settings who deliver treatment (specifically DBT and CBT) to various demographics with different clinical presentations (i.e., mental health, adjustment, trauma symptoms, familial or interpersonal difficulties, and personality disorders).
