Dr. Rinju George

Dr. Rinju George is an experienced psychologist and academician specializing in children’s, adolescents’, and youth mental health, with extensive experience in research and teaching. She holds a PhD in Youth Psychology, an MPhil in Adolescent Mental Health, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. She practices under the supervision of Dr. Petrice Gentile.

She provides counselling and psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and youth for a wide range of concerns, including stress and coping, interpersonal relationships, anger, anxiety, phobias, academic challenges, and career development. Dr. George also conducts psychoeducational and psychological assessments and offers therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents with ADHD, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum conditions.

Dr. George completed her clinical training at the Mental Health Centre (MHC); Academy for Severe Handicaps and Autism (ASHA); Society of Psychologists for Social Action (SPSA); and Bodhita Psychological Services, India. Her clinical practice integrates evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions.

She has a strong academic background, having served as Assistant Professor and Research Instructor at CHRIST (Deemed to be University) and as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology at Providence Women’s College, India. In addition to her academic and clinical roles, she has designed and delivered training programs for children, adolescents, youth, and parents on life skills, assertiveness, personality development, stress management, and related areas.

Her research interests focus on children, adolescents, and youth. She has presented papers at national and international conferences and has published several articles in peer-reviewed and Scopus-indexed journals. Dr. George is currently undertaking her supervised practice in psychology at Broadview Psychology, in accordance with the requirements of the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She is committed to providing ethical, evidence-based, and compassionate psychological care.
