Dr. Rodriguez de los Reyes, C.Psych., is a clinical psychologist who completed his Ph.D. at the University of Toronto in the Counselling and Clinical Psychology program. Prior to this, he earned a Master’s degree from the Universidad de las Américas in Mexico City, where he trained in family and couples therapy, brief therapy, and later pursued further education in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and sexual health interventions. Before relocating to Canada, he worked in private practice and served as a sex educator for several years.
In Canada, Dr. Rodriguez de los Reyes completed clinical placements at the OISE Psychology Clinic, Oshawa Psychological and Counselling Services, the Sexual Behaviours Clinic at CAMH, and Broadview Psychology. He completed his predoctoral residency through the Toronto Area Residency Consortium (TARC), with a primary placement at Toronto Metropolitan University’s Centre for Student Development and Counselling. Dr. Rodriguez de los Reyes has over a decade of experience working with adults presenting with a broad range of psychological concerns, including depression, anxiety, trauma, ADHD, grief, relationship challenges, chronic illness, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders. His doctoral training included CBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), DBT-Prolonged Exposure (DBT-PE), and psychological and psychoeducational assessment.
His approach is collaborative and client-centred. He prioritizes building strong therapeutic relationships to work toward mutually defined goals and draws on a range of evidence-based strategies to support change. He believes that while clinicians bring psychological expertise, clients are the experts in their own lives and can offer invaluable insight through their lived experiences, self-awareness, and personal strengths.
