Michelle (she/her) is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and a member of Dietitians of Canada. She earned two Bachelor’s degrees in five years at Western University, one in Medical Sciences and one in Foods and Nutrition, and completed her dietetic internship at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. Michelle practiced in a hospital setting for five years and is now pursuing graduate studies at the University of Toronto, focusing on improving care for individuals with disordered eating and digestive health concerns.
Michelle is passionate about the connection between disordered eating, the mind, and the gut. She is interested in how early experiences, environmental influences, and thought patterns shape the way individuals relate to food and their bodies. In the context of comprehensive Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Michelle helps clients use eating as a tool to support emotion regulation. She takes a client-centred, collaborative approach, working closely with clients, their families, and therapists to support recovery, and foster a healthier, more peaceful relationship with food.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys staying active, exploring new places through travel, and discovering great local restaurants.
