Florencia Cristoffanini

Florencia Cristoffanini is currently completing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Windsor. She is completing part of her pre-doctoral internship at Broadview Psychology in conjunction with Toronto Metropolitan University, in the Toronto Area Residency Consortium. For her doctoral research, she is developing a comprehensive self-report measure of emotional functioning and how various domains of emotional strengths/challenges relate to mental health and well-being. In her Master’s research, she studied emotional processes involved in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for BPD.
Florencia has experience working with various concerns, including depression, anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, complex trauma, emotional dysregulation, interpersonal concerns, ADHD, and chronic pain. Florencia integrates various evidence-based approaches in her work with clients, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She is passionate about matching interventions to her clients’ needs, based on a collaborative relationship and a mutual understanding of their concerns, that evolves over time.
Florencia received clinical training in treatment and assessment at several settings, including the Psychological Services and Research Center at the University of Windsor, the Pain and Medication Management Program at Actum Health, North Shore CBT Center, and Paragon Psychological Services. She primarily works with adolescents and adults.

Beyond her clinical work, Florencia enjoys spending time with her two cats, exploring the outdoors, doing yoga, trying new recipes or restaurants, and reading books.
