Clinical Psychology Residence at Broadview Psychology
We, the Broadview Psychology team, are excited to meet you and hope that we will get the chance to work with you next year as part of our consortium. We believe that we offer a unique and rich practicum in adult or child/adolescent clinical psychology.
If you join our team at Broadview Psychology, you will:
- Work with approximately six to seven clients individually using DBT, CBT and/or ACT
- Learn how to provide text/phone coaching and to work with parents/family members.
- Facilitate at least one DBT group.
- Receive weekly individual supervision from Dr. Alanna Singer, Dr. Aranda Wingsiong, Dr. Tamara Meixner, or Dr. Gibran Rodriguez, or Dr. Christine Sloss
- Receive feedback from recorded sessions.
- Participate in weekly 2-hour DBT educational and consultation team meetings.
- Participate in regular trainings that are offered by our clinic, including intensive 32 hr training, in providing DBT with adolescents and families.
- Receive informal consultation from a large team of experienced clinicians
- Receive considerable support from our large administrative team
- Participate in team building and social events.
Hours: 16-20 hours per week.
Days: We require you to be present for a DBT consultation team meeting on Wednesdays from 12:00-2:30 and to do some evening work. The other hours/days are negotiable.
Length: 12 months.
Educational Training/Research Opportunities: Psychology Residents will have the opportunity to learn DBT and CBT, through supervision, observation, reviewing videotapes, and regular team training with internal and external psychologists. Additionally, Residents may assist in program evaluation, assessments and additional research projects. Broadview Psychology offers a 16-week training (32 hours), DBT with Adolescents and Families, training course each fall. This training would be a mandatory requirement for those wishing to complete their practicum at Broadview Psychology.
