REGISTERED DIETICIAN | STOUFFVILLE CLINIC
Michelle (she/her) is a Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario. She earned two Bachelor’s degrees in five years at Western University, one in Medical Sciences and one in Foods & Nutrition. She completed her dietetic internship with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. When she’s not in the clinic, Michelle practices as a clinical dietitian in a hospital setting, providing medical nutrition therapy for a wide range of health conditions and teaching dietetic interns.
Michelle is fascinated with the mind-gut connection. Specifically, how one’s upbringing, lived experiences, and thought processes can influence an individual’s relationship with food, weight, and body. Michelle will explore these topics with you in session, to suggest feasible changes aimed at preventing malnutrition, reducing symptoms, and fostering a confident attitude with food. She practices with a client-centred approach, inviting active collaboration and shared decision-making between clients and their families. Michelle believes in a team-based model when providing care, so will work closely with your therapist to best support your recovery.
Michelle provides dietician services in English.
In her free time, Michelle enjoys running (training for a half-marathon) and trying out new restaurants (consider it professional development).
