Agustina (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. She completed an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour from McMaster University. Agustina then completed a Master of Education in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy from the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto. Currently, she is also in a doctoral program (Ed.D) specializing in Counselling and School psychology at the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education from the University of Toronto. She works with individuals starting from adolescence onwards.
Agustina has had experience working in the field of addiction and mental health in different hospitals throughout Southern Ontario treating older adolescents, young adults and adults. She has experience working in outpatient, intensive outpatient and inpatient programs for people with concurrent mental health and addictions. During her time working throughout hospitals, she became experienced with DBT-informed treatment and was supervised by a DBT-adherent therapist, and eventually came to Broadview Psychology to practice the full comprehensive approach. Agustina also has experience working with military and first responder populations diagnosed with PTSD. She mostly practices DBT and CBT with clients. Agustina practices these approaches through a relational lens – meaning that she prioritizes the relationship that emerges between therapist-client and uses it to help inform psychotherapeutic treatment.
Agustina provides individual, couples, and parent therapy in both English and Spanish.
When taking time away from doing therapy, Agustina enjoys reading on topics such as migratory adjustment and spending time with her family visiting different shops in all of the different nooks of Toronto!
