She/Her, French and English-speaking
Olivia Provost-Walker (she/her) is currently completing her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University under the supervision of Dr. Martin Antony. Olivia’s research interests focus on how contextual factors, such as systemic oppression, influence the experience, diagnosis, and treatment of anxiety and related disorders.
Olivia has received clinical training within the Family Health Team at St. Michael’s Hospital and the Frederick W. Thompson Anxiety Disorders Centre at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. In these roles, she provided assessment and treatment to adults from various backgrounds experiencing depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, and obsessive compulsive disorder among other concerns. She has received training in CBT, DBT, and Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) as well as in psychodiagnostic assessment. Olivia is committed to fostering a warm, nonjudgmental space, where client and therapist collaboratively develop skillful ways of responding to challenges, with the goal of helping clients move towards a meaningful life.
Olivia has also been involved in advocacy as a member on the American Psychological Association Graduate Students (APAGS) Committee on the Advancement of Racial and Ethnicity Diversity (CARED) and cofounded the Graduate Student Anti-Racism Initiative (GSARI) at X University to advocate for a representative psychology pipeline and inclusive clinical training.
In her spare time, Olivia enjoys trying new recipes, doing yoga, tending to her house plants, and spending time with her dog.
