Naiara (she/her) is a Brazilian-Canadian Registered Psychotherapist and supervisor with over ten years of experience in this field. She earned her title of Master of Psychology from the Medical University of Sao Jose do Rio Preto (FAMERP) in Brazil and worked in hospital, social services and private practice settings as a Clinical Psychologist before moving to Canada. She specializes in the evidence-based methods of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including grief processing, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), including the DBT approaches to trauma (DBT-PE) and eating disorders (DBT-ED). Working with couples, groups, parents, families and individuals across the lifespan, Naiara is an authentic and compassionate clinician
Naiara is passionate about working with the 2SLGBTQ+ community and other marginalized groups under a trauma-informed approach in the Cognitive-Behavioural framework. She has also been involved with charitable projects as a volunteer director at Smiles Foundation and a volunteer consultant in a suicide prevention program in Brazil.
Outside of Psychotherapy, she enjoys meditating, reading, talking with friends, walking in nature and spending time with her spouse and two cats.
