Alanna Singer (she/her) completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University. She works in a therapeutic context with children, adolescents, and young adults presenting with a range of mental health challenges and works with parents in supporting their children and adolescents. Alanna also provides comprehensive psychological assessments to children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing difficulties in the areas of attention, learning, behaviour, and social-emotional functioning.
Alanna completed her pre-doctoral residency at Broadview Psychology and the Toronto District School Board. She has received extensive training in conducting assessments and providing intervention to children, adolescents, and young adults experiencing challenges that include anxiety, depression, behavioural difficulties, and obsessions and compulsions, among others. Throughout her training, she has worked with clients in a number of contexts, including private practice, school settings, and mental health clinics. Her primary therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioural as well as working within a Dialectical Behaviour Therapy framework. She adopts a client-centred, tailored and collaborative approach in her clinical work. Alanna aims to align her expertise and clinical training with her clients’ knowledge of their lived experiences and goals in order to promote resiliency, agency, and growth.

In her free time, Alanna enjoys spending time with friends and family, staying active and walking her dog, and honing her cooking and baking skills.
