Psychologist

Dr. Aranda Wingsiong (she/her) is a Registered Clinical Psychologist (C.Psych, Ph.D.) with expertise in the area of child, youth, and young adult mental health. Aranda is passionate about working collaboratively with her clients and their families to meet their individualized needs while incorporating research and evidence-based approaches. She draws primarily from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical-behaviour therapy (DBT), and emotion-focused family therapy (EFFT).

Aranda’s goal is to empower clients to develop a deeper understanding of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. She encourages their active participation in goal-setting and treatment planning. The emphasis is on exploring the client’s strengths while also promoting change. Since 2015, Aranda has provided psychological/psychoeducational assessments, interventions, consultations, and presentations/workshops to address the needs of youth, young adults, and their families. She has delivered these services through the school board, university, hospital/community mental health centres, and private sector.

Aranda completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Windsor. She then completed her residency through the Toronto Area Residency Consortium. During this time, she worked at the Child Development Institute and Toronto District School Board where she provided consultation, psychological assessment, and therapy services to children, adolescents, and their caregivers. Aranda joined Broadview in 2019 where she pursued a year of supervised practice, including intensive training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), prior to earning her license as a registered Clinical Psychologist. Aranda also has specialized training to address eating disorders (e.g., Family-Based Therapy, Maudsley) and trauma (i.e., DBT-Prolonged Exposure). Altogether, she has accrued over 6 years of experience providing (individual and/or group) DBT services to children, youth, young adults, and their family members.

Aranda is part of our Stouffville team and provides clinical services in English.

During her time off, Aranda enjoys staying active (running, hiking, yoga), streaming a variety of shows (comedy, international, mystery, fantasy), and exploring local cafes and events with friends and family.
